Women’s Economic Security Act

On Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, Minnesota’s new Women’s Economic Security Act was signed into law. Employers should take note that some of the provisions went into effect immediately and the the rest on August 1st! The changes are wide ranging on will require that all MN employers revise their Employee Handbooks and HR policies.
This new law changes the ground rules regarding equal employment opportunity, workplace accommodations, break time, parenting leave and sick leave. Learn the new provisions and how to become compliant.
