Paid Family & Sick Leave in MN: Impact on Employers

June 2023

Up until recently, the federal Family and Medical Leave Act and similar state laws only provided employees with up to twelve weeks of unpaid leave. However, twelve states, including Minnesota, and the District of Columbia have now passed some form of paid family and medical leave. This trend seems poised to continue.

This webinar will cover:

  • How this new law will impact employers:
    • Medical leave
    • Caregiving leave
    • Parental leave
    • Safety leave
    • Deployment-related leave
  • Recommendations on how employers can prepare for the Jan. 1, 2026, effective date

NOTE: Information and consulting regarding additional state laws is available for North Risk Partners clients upon request.
