International Roadcheck Will Run May 4 – 6

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has set May 4 – 6, 2021, as the dates for this year’s International Roadcheck for commercial motor vehicle inspections. They will focus on checking hours-of-service documentation and paying close attention to vehicle lighting during inspections. Each year, CVSA chooses a focus in order to capture and report data on a specific category of violations. Last year, they focused on driver violations.

How Can You Help Avoid These Violations?

Encourage your drivers to perform good pre-trip inspections. As a part of their inspection have them check for ELD instruction manuals, data transfer instructions, and 8 blank log pages. All loading, unloading, fueling, vehicle inspections, accidents, and dropping/hooking trailers are to be logged On Duty on line 4 on their paper or electronic logging devices.

Paying attention to the items outlined above, will make the Roadcheck go much smoother.
