January 18, 2017 – By law, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) require employers with 15 or more employees follow “reasonable accommodation” standards for qualified individuals with disabilities who are either employees or applicants for employment.
To address these standards, employers should include a disability accommodation policy in their employee handbook, outlining a formal procedure for employing individuals with disabilities.
This webinar will cover:
- Tips for how employers can engage more effectively with disability accommodation issues and defend against disability-related lawsuits
- An example of an EEOC compliant policy to be used in your own employee handbook
- A review of the ADAAA’s key provisions
