North Risk Partners COO Chris Meidt named new CEO

St. Paul, Minn. – North Risk Partners (NRP) COO – Chris Meidt – was named the company’s new President and CEO effective Jan. 1, 2016. Meidt joined NRP in July 2014 after a four-year run as market manager for Walmart’s eastern Wisconsin region.

Moving forward, current NRP President and CEO Pat McCann will serve as chairman, focusing his attention on strategic initiatives, acquisition sourcing and working with his current client base.

“This is a strategic shift in roles,” says McCann. “Over the past two and a half years the company has experienced tremendous growth. I’m confident Chris has the right skillsets, both financially and organizationally, to help us continue our growth objectives.”

McCann has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is co-founder of Johnson McCann, NRP’s large group benefits division, where he maintains a number of high-level accounts. In his new position as chairman, Pat will serve as an advisor to Meidt and the rest of the organization.
