Apollo Division and Commercial Exchange Merge Offices in Melrose

June 23, 2017 – North Risk Partners – Apollo Division and North Risk Partners –  Commercial Exchange Corporation (CEC) recently merged offices in Melrose, more than three months after North Risk Partners acquired CEC in early February.

The businesses had to wait until the building at 411 Main St. E, the location of CEC’s Melrose office for the past 12 years, was restored after a fire last September damaged its space.

The restoration took nine months and during that time CEC’s Melrose advisors were displaced to a nearby attorney’s office, Dymoke Law Office P.A.

North Risk Partners – Apollo Division and Commercial Exchange Corporation (CEC) merged Melrose offices in June, more than three months after North Risk Partners acquired CEC in early February. The two groups combined teams in CEC’s long-term office on Main Street once restoration was completed after a fire last November damaged the space. North Risk’s building signage was moved from its previous location on Fifth Avenue.

“We’re grateful for the Melrose community’s support,” says Risk Advisor JoAnn Boeckermann, who previously co-owned CEC with Fritz and Joyce Hoeschen of the agency’s Freeport office. “We were warmly welcomed by Scott and Rachel Dymoke, and that made all the difference in being able to move offices while not disrupting service to our clients.”

Risk advisors Paul Olberding and Jennifer Komis of North Risk Partners – Apollo Division now work in the Main Street location, having moved from North Risk’s previous Melrose office space just steps away at 5 Fifth Avenue SE. The two are enthusiastic about their growing Melrose team.

“A larger staff supports our goal as advisors to be subject matter experts in specialized areas of insurance,” says Komis. “From commercial to farm to individuals and families – each area has its own unique risk considerations, and it takes time and resources to stay current on industry changes, which is in the best interest of our clients.”

In addition to Boeckermann, Olberding, and Komis, the agency’s local team also includes Joyce Koopmeiners, who has worked for the agency for over 12 years. Koopmeiners assists Boeckermann in providing service to the agency’s farm clients with additional support from othermembers of the agency’s team, including Cheryl Poepping, and Carrie Goebel who is focused on commercial business clients.

Judy Gamradt, a member of the CEC Melrose team for over 16 years, retired from her position with the agency on June 15.

“Judy will be greatly missed in our office,” says Boeckermann. “As a member of the local community, she developed personal relationships with our clients, and her family’s background in farming gave her a wealth of knowledge that complemented the insurance services we provide to the farm and agriculture community.”

Boeckermann, who has special expertise in insuring agricultural risks, will continue to serve the agency’s farm clientele, while Komis will take over advising Gamradt’s clients on all personal insurance needs.

Komis is experienced in personal insurance package programs, including home, auto, umbrella, and more, as well as health and life coverage, including options for Medicare, and has worked in the insurance industry for ten years.

“Our clients are in great hands,” says Boeckermann, referring to Komis.

To celebrate the agency’s newly remodeled location, North Risk’s team of advisors is hosting an open house on July 25 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone from the community is encouraged to stop in and see the new space.
