Commercial Service Advisor – Trucking Industry

Salary/Compensation: DOE; includes benefits (medical, dental, disability, PTO and 401k with company match)

Description:

• Provides customer service for commercial accounts
• Obtains quotes, compiles data and presents renewal proposals to clients
• Maintains customer files (mostly digitally)
• Directs customer contact for policy changes during policy term
• Corresponds directly with company underwriters for policy changes, rating and other coverage questions and issues that arise
• Enters billing and monitors accounts for audits, accounts past due and cancellations
• Provides assistance to sales associates as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree will be considered
• Computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Basic math skills (e.g. adding/subtracting, calculating percentages)
• Knowledge and experience with customer service practices (e.g. phone and interpersonal skills)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills
• Works well in teams
• Attention to detail and the ability to plan and organize accordingly
• Working knowledge of commercial insurance policy forms, coverage and company programs (i.e. Vertafore products – AMS, BenefitPoint, Worksmart) preferred, but not required
