Salary/Compensation: Base + commission; includes competitive benefits package (medical, dental, disability, PTO and 401k with company match)

Description:

  • Prospect and generate new business appointments
  • Analyze and develop solutions for clients’ business and/or individual insurance needs
  • Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all of the value added services available through North Risk Partners
  • Sell/refer business across all departments (i.e. property and casualty, employee benefits, personal insurance, etc.)
  • Study trends and advancements in the business and finance industries, as well as changes in regulatory activities to keep industry knowledge up to date
  • Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
  • Continuous filling of the Pipeline, and meeting monthly goals associated with the Pipeline
  • Enter activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s) for service and support staff to process
  • Continue professional development (i.e. keep current with industry changes, continuous sales training, pursue professional designations, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (from an accredited university) in business or related field preferred
  • Positive “can-do” attitude
  • A self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative
  • Previous outside sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry preferred, but not required
  • License to sell insurance preferred, but not required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A working knowledge of standard technology (i.e. all Microsoft Office products, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relationship/lead-building mediums)
  • A team player who collaborates between departments and works well with service and support staff
